A man was killed and five others injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Englewood on the South Side. About 4:43 p.m., a Chrysler was traveling in the 7100 block of South Stewart Avenue when officers attempted a traffic stop, Chicago police said. It continued eastbound and struck a silver-colored Mitsubishi, causing the Chrysler to flip over. Jason Yancey, 23, was in the Chrysler and pronounced dead on scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy found Yancey died of multiple injuries from the crash and his death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in south suburban Dolton. Also in the Chrysler were two men, 25, and 23, as well as a 17-year-old boy. The 25-year-old man and the teen were taken the University of Chicago Medical Center. The teen was in fair condition and the man was in serious condition. The 23-year-old was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn,. His condition was stabilized. Two women, 23 and 50, were in the Mitsubishi. They were taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition.
